I have a magic mirror in my new series, but never connected it to scrying though that is exactly how the character uses it... and now it has become an important part of my plot!

Very good to meet you on Wednesday.Katherine Robertshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17196712319655603442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5055598777203654547.post-33536027837701407892011-04-16T15:47:29.758+01:002011-04-16T15:47:29.758+01:00Hello Roselle, this is Sue - we met on Wednesday, ...Hello Roselle, this is Sue - we met on Wednesday, and yes this is a very superior blog! I visited this morning and looked for some time at your opening thoughts above, which stimulated a response. I hope it's OK to post it here? (I should be replying to the piece on the mermaid, but I agree with that so absolutely that it's hardly worth it, except to mention the 'Mirror' of Galadriel and the ancient Egyptian mirrors that have always struck me as more than just cosmetic.

Here's my response, I hope you enjoy it.

Indeed there’s consolation in the stars
And elephants we have been and shall be
And comfort in the future of the moon
And that we once as droplets in the sea

Washed the bright shores of continents unnamed.
But when my atoms swim away from me
Where will the loves and learning vanish to?
Where will the knowing built through years then lie

When the brain sleeps, loosening all that’s mind.
And when as trees we are reformed, or cats
Or wooden seats for dozing in the sun,
Shall we know sorrow for the faces then

Swept off across the galaxies again?Sarannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13987575298069180826noreply@blogger.com
